Biography
Biography
Madelyn is passionate about helping people achieve their overall work-life and career goals. She has over 17 years of experience as a psychologist and academic and brings national and international experience in the domains of work, specializing in career progression, leadership- and workplace coaching, burnout, work-related well-being and job design. She is currently the founder and co-director of a private practice, Harmony Work-Life Psychology.
Madelyn would love to support you in creating a healthy work environment, specifically, creating a healthy work-life balance, how to identify the sources of- and how to manage stress and burnout, identifying and managing psychosocial hazards and career progression. She is also an experienced workplace and leadership coach, where she has supported many people in creating a shared understanding about what needs to be achieved and how it is to be achieved on an employee and organisational level, across different workplace systems.
Together with her work as a psychologist in practice, she is also passionate about research and development. Madelyn is an Associate Professor in the Discipline of Psychology at the University of Notre Dame. For the University of Notre Dame, she has co-led the development of a suite of new accredited psychology programs, followed by spearheading its initial roll out. Prior to this, Madelyn worked as the Discipline Lead and Post Graduate Programs Coordinator in Psychology nationally and as the Organisational Psychology Program Coordinator internationally. In all these roles, she has been actively involved contributing to the development of student practice competencies and skills.
Her research into work-related well-being has equipped Madelyn with extensive experience in and understanding of how to navigate the difficulties associated with work stress and burnout, where she has led numerous projects that received research funding nationally and internationally. Furthermore, Madelyn has published her research in scientific academic outlets, including book chapters and academic journal articles.
